Property Management:

The Property Management Engine allows you to display featured rental properties on your website.

You can add as many rental listings as you wish, and your clients can search for these properties based on the requirements they’re looking for. In the Property Management Engine we’ll be uploading pictures of your properties. If you need a reminder about cropping and resizing images, please see our instructions on Resizing Images.

Open Your Control Panel and click on Property Management

You’ll be adding your listings to the Property Management Pages section. To begin, though, you’ll want to set your Property Management Properties.

Property Management Properties:
Click on Edit Listing Types

The Listing Types appear.

  1. For existing Types, you have the option to Edit, turn On/Off or Delete the type.
  2. You can also add a type by clicking on Add Type SHOW When you’ve added the new Listing Type, (for instance, duplex, land, etc.) click Update Page.

Once you’ve added your types, click on Property Management in the menu bar to return to the main Control Panel page.

  1. Next click on Edit Subtype.(for instance brick, log cabin, or whatever subtypes you want to sort by) . Add subtypes in the same way you edited your Types.
  2. If you want to display your featured listings by Area, click on Edit Areas and enter your Areas.
  3. In the same way, if you want to display your properties by features such as swimming pool, etc., click on Edit Listing Features and create your list of features.

  1. You can show your Featured Listings in either Search Page format or List View format. Click the radio button to switch views and see how each of them displays.
  2. Finally, choose how many listing you want to show per page. Extra listing will be shown on page 2, page 3, etc. Viewers can click to see the next pages.

Property Management Pages
You can create one or more featured listings pages. Since the visitor will be able to search by listing type, you’ll probably create additional pages only if multiple realtors are using the site, or perhaps for specialty situations not covered by your regular search categories.

Since we’re starting from the beginning, we will create a new page by clicking Add A Page.

  1. Give your New Page a Name.
  2. Leave Template set at Default
  3. Choose whether or not to Add this page to your Main Menu.
  4. Set Menu placement now or adjust later using Site Menu.
  5. You can also enter text to introduce the featured listing to your visitors. When you’re ready, click Update Page

  1. You can click on Edit Page to change the introduction or give the page a new name.
  2. To create featured listings, click Add/Edit Listings.

  1. If you have a lot of listings on your page, you can sort By Owner or By Address to find a single listing. If you enter a search criteria, click on View Listing to sort and display the new list.
  2. Choose Edit to edit an existing listing
  3. To Add a Listing, click on Add a Listing

Now simply go through the fields and enter the data for your listing. If you need to add a Type, Subtype or Listing Feature, go back and add this now before you enter your listing data. At the bottom of the list you can use the Page Editor to enter as much description as you want for this property. When you’re ready, click Update Page. The Add Images page now appears.

  1. Browse your desktop for your image. Your image needs to be a GIF or a JPEG. The size should be 300 pixels wide and 217 pixels high. If you help cropping or resizing your image, see our instructions on Resizing Images.
  2. Your first image should be your Main Image. For subsequent images, click on the drop down and choose Photo Gallery.
  3. REQUIRED: Give your image a brief title. Visitors will click on the brief title to view other images in the photogallery
  4. You can give your image a sort order
  5. You can give each image a description of up to 250 characters.

You can add up to three images before uploading the photos. When you’re ready, click Update Images and Finish Listing. Once you upload the first three photos, you can upload more images if you wish. When all your photos are uploaded you can view the new listing on your website. In your Control Panel, click on the Page Name of your listing to open the page on your website. If you need to edit any information, return to the Control Panel. With Property Management you can feature as many properties as you wish and help your rental clients find what they’re looking for.
