Password Protected Pages.

Password Pages allow you to create pages on your website that can only be accessed by those who have a username and password to open these pages. This is a powerful feature for writer’s groups, coaching clients, and many other special group member applications. Password Pages is an add-on feature. Please call or email support to add this feature to your website.

Open Control Panel and Lock Pages
Open Your Control Panel and click on Password Pages.


In the section titled Pages, notice that an open lock is in front of each page. To protect a page, click on the green lock and notice it locks and turns red. Click on the locks of all the pages that you want to protect.

Create a Group:

In the section titled Password Page Groups and Users you will see an option to Add Group, and to Add or Edit Users. If you understand the difference between Groups and Users, then working with Password pages will be easy.

Add Group.

A Group refers to a Grouping of pages that you have locked.

  1. All the pages that you have locked appear in a list on this page. You choose a grouping by clicking on whichever pages you want to include in the group. Select the pages you want to include.
  2. Now give this group of pages a name.
  3. When you’re ready, click Update Group. You can create as many different groups as you want. Remember to first lock all the pages that you want to protect,

Add Users:
After you have created one or more groups, you need to assign who has permission to access each group of pages. Click on Add/Edit Users

On this form

  1. Assign the name of a person and their email.
  2. assign them a Username and Password.
  3. Choose which group or groups to you want this user to have access to.
  4. When you’re ready, click Update User

The new person now appears in the list of Users.

  1. To view your new user, choose a group from the drop down menu. We've chosen Test 2
  2. Click on View Users.
  3. The new user now appears
  4. You can Edit your User Permissions by clicking on Edit
  5. You can turn a user on or off by clicking User is Active
  6. You can delete a user by clicking delete.
